Initial ordination analyses of vegetation data and environmental variables from 200 quadrats suggest that conductivity and saturation levels may identify indicator species, although statistical work is on-going. Read an outline of this project on our blog:14 Jan 2008 entry
In partnership with Newcastle University, and working for Defra, in 2008 we commence botanical work on a 5 year, £500,000 experiment, to assess the effects of shut-up date and grazing levels on diversity & yield.
PTYXIS completed a NVC survey of the vegetation communities present at this disused limestone quarry. We also advised on the grassland restoration and habitat re-creation scheme design.
